This church is worth the detour of one good reason: The many fine gargoyles outside. A gargoyle is a kind of downpipe. I wish I could afford a couple of these on my house.

It was a nice visit and an interesting monument in the old town of Troyes with a free entrance. It seems it's opened daily.

One of a few stunning churches in Troyes. The history of the building and its treasures is carefully presented in more than one language. It really is lovely.

Pretty little gothic church to spend some time in and light a candle. All set in the pretty medieval town of Troyes.

This is a lovely Gothic church to wander around for a short visit. Light a candle, admire the stained glass, and check out the interesting gargoyles outside the church. I love the flying buttresses, and the beautiful stone work.

This church has incredible array of gargoyles on its exterior. It's worth the visit just for these. Don't miss it.

Go inside and experience the splendor of high Gothic. A place steeped in history too. Fun on a rainy day to see the water coming out of the mouths of the gargoyles

The already-posted reviews are on target. St. Urbain is well worth a visit, especially given it is right in the heart of the restaurant area of Troyes, When we were there last month, it was still undergoing structural renovation, but this does not detract much...More
