I liked the fact that all the shopping is gathered in this wide streets with low rise buildings where you can shop and eat while enjoying an open sky view...

The streets are nice and wide; there are many options for food, coffee and finding whatever you are looking to buy. There are many attractions in the area including the Cathedrale St-Gatien and the Musee du Compannonnage.

06 April, 2014. This is one of the main arterial streets in Tours, and leads right to the city centre. It is lined with shops: from those selling local wares, to clothing, coffee shops, small eateries, ice cream stores, and also has a tram line...More

I enjoyed wondering the rue nationale but on rainy days its another story. Likewise during the sales it gets incredibly busy. Path ways quite large which is good especially if youve got a pushchair.

A very nice shopping street to wander. Not necessarily small, local shops, but a very lively place with larger department stores and some chains. Well worth wandering up and down (especially if you get some ice cream).

Great shopping street - love C&A in particular as its so reasonable and not available in Ireland. Quality of clothes excellent too. Lots of other chains too like Promod, Monoprix and Cameiu. We bought so much had to buy another case coming home!😬

Interesting to follow the line of the street through the city and across the Loire river. The public transport light rail systemis very frequent and is quite impressive to watch at night, when it is lit up.

Actually a great place if u get lost in Tours. Runs down the middle of old Tours. It has alot of shops and ATMS if you need to blow money.

Good shopping, attractive for a stroll. It gets particularly slippery in the rain to the extent that I bought some new shoes in the sales (any excuse!) because I couldn't stop slipping in my sandals.
