Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This market is a knock-out for food lovers. Lots of merchants set up here daily, closes at 1:00. Great displays of just about any food item you might imagine. Lots of exotic products. Friendly atmosphere. Makes me wish that I lived here.

Beautiful food market to buy local artisanal food. The fruits and vegetables smelled so fresh, the cheese selection was amazing. We bought some cheese, wine and charcuterie and had a lille picnic. If you have more than one day, I recommend a visit. However if you are pressed for time, you can definitely skip this attraction. I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.

A feast for the eyes, seeing all the different fine produce but be aware, it's full on French and very local.
The quality and range is fantastic and if you like cheese, it's a terrible place as way too much too choose from!
It's not cheap but the quality is way out there

looks more a market for the locals than a touristic attraction. being a tourist myself I could hardly buy raw products ... except for some fruits and cheeses. it closes at 12.30 so no chance if you go in the afternoon.

So much fun exploring this wonderful food market. I wanted to buy something from every stall. Everything looked so fresh and delicious and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Easy to find and very worthwhile.

We were fortunate in staying at the Hotel des Ducs (a separate review here on Tripadvisor) as we were within walking distance of the Halles de Dijon. It is only open 4 days per week and even then only until 1:00 in the afternoon, so plan accordingly. Check out the attached pictures to see the wonderment of foods and drink purveyed.

We stayed in Dijon wed-Fri. Thur the indoor food market was 1/4 full. The very next day on Fri it was 100% full & spilled ALL over to the outside streets with clothes, purses, souvenirs( cute OWL tea towels for 5€)

Situated in the old town area of Dijon, this is a good spot to go to market which includes groceries, spices, clothing and all manner of small eateries. Worth a walk to see during the market days as they then close down the surrounding streets making it safe and easy to walk to and from.

Wow! If only we had food halls like this in the UK in every big town! Well worth a visit. Great atmosphere.
