Love the smattering of Medieval architecture in the city, mixed with buildings of later centuries. A wonderful city for just wondering and taking in the sights, especially architectural. Dijon is definitely worth a visit for 2-3 days.

We go there on Sunday and full of people. It looks a big open air market. It is great to enjoy local people's life.

I still hold the view that, as far as main shopping streets go, this one is distinctly average and only has an element of picturesque quality down by the carousel and statue. Other than that, it is a mishmash of run of the mill shops....More

Dijon has over 200 historical monuments. In the Rue des Forges, the facades of a couple of nice townhouses (hôtel particulier) can be found. Very touristic street, all about shopping.

It's the historic heart to the town and a wonderful spot for photos. Sit near the carousel and have a crepe. They're very good. It's picturesque, mostly clean and feels safe. Lots of interesting shops to explore and buildings to see.

This was very interesting, but very touristy. I preferred walking around the more quiet streets. It was nice to see the carousel still working.

This street is a must when visiting Dijon. Its facades are very old yet exceptionally well-preserved. Its western terminus ends up at the famed Gustave Eiffel Carousel merry-go-round. A more lively place. especially during the market, would be hard to find. Great great people-watching and...More

Collection of three or so buildings that are architecturally interesting. Hotel Aubriot from the 13th century , Maison Maillard , built for the mayor of Dijon in 1560 and Hotel Chambellan, a lodging for Henri Chambellan. Some fancy stone work on the latter.
