Nice free stop!

We happened to wander in here. It's not big, not in English, but has some interesting statues. Worth a stop!

Well, we stumbled upon this museum. As we peeked through the doors, we saw a massive sculpture in front of us and entered the museum. This museum has copies of famous sculptures around France created by F. Rude. Like the one in this picture is what is present on the Arc de Triumph is Paris. This copy was created around... More

This is a very small, but interesting museum in Dijon. Unfortunately, there are no guides in English (only two small notices). I highly recommend to go there, but read some articles about the exposition before that.

Ancient building with interesting sculptures by Francois Rude and contemporaries. Sketches of works prior to sculptures. A small room with but well worth a visit and it's free.

Very small, compact, but informative collection of plaster casts on works by a Dijon-born sculptor Francois Rude. The admission is free of charge and the entire visit would take only a few minutes, but the impression from his very approachable, traditional school art would last much longer.

This is in an old building or ancient place and has a few statues in one room with one significant one taking up a large wall. An adjoining room reflect significant age. It takes 10 minutes, close to a church and the Beaux Arts. Go.

An interesting free to enter museum containing a number if statues and sculptures of a range of well known French individuals including Joan of Arc and Napoleon. Well worth a few minutes if your time to explore as it is very compact.

This place is a wonderful find. Francois Rude was a truly outstanding sculptor. This small museum brings to life Rude's work.

...between the Palace of the Dukes and the Saint Michel church -- it's really just two rooms. But the works are impressive and you can't complain about the price: it's free. Opening times can vary slightly from those listed in guide books.

Not part of our plans, we just happened to walk by. A small place but quite interesting and free. no need to make a big detour but worth a stop.
