The hypermarket is surrounded by other shops and cafes. Plenty on one site. Great to pick up your wine before the trip home on the ferry. Prices in the hypermarket Carrefour are good but the surrounding shops are a little expensive.

La Madeleine is a great place to shop. At the heart of it is the mammoth Carrefour, with very reasonably priced goods, gigantic aisles of chocolate and alcohol, with many brands of fine British and Irish whiskey I'd never heard of.
