Open from June to September a visit is essential. Most of the fortifications were aimed towards the old enemy Britain. Guided tours are probably a good idea but note you'll only be able to get in at low tide.

We decided to pay and go inside to see the Fort. There is a ton of stuff to see, but it is impressive none the less and a worthwhile place to visit if you are there.

A nice historical building in the middle of the sea. Careful, it closes at 5PM, because after that time, the sea takes back the place.
