We stay for a few days and of course "Les Ramparts" formed part of our visit. In the end we used them every day for our trips to the beach, restaurants or simply when admiring the fabulous sunsets. Always worth a detour!

The walls encircle the pleasant old town with its many eateries and tourist shops. The walls are in excellent condition and offer some super views.

Well worth detour nice views in a very pittoresk city. The old town is well preserved and offers a lot to see. Finally you can find some nice restaurants there.

The 2 km walk round remparts allows you to view outside and inside together. Start with this walk then dive into the good selection of retail shops and endless creperies!

Normally Brits sail into to St Malo and then onto other destinations. If you get the chance, stop and have a look around this fantastic little city. Great views from the ramparts particularly on a good day.

Fantastic for any age, with such varied views as you walk once around. You get an idea of history, walled-in town life and the sea as you explore. Never gets boring - worth doing once a year as part of our annual visit.

Not to be missed. Look down on the town and the beaches, harbour and fortifications and walk all the way round. Flat, safe, some steps.

Found the street where the story is set but after the devastation the area is too new. Unable to locate bakery when we visited
