A stones throw from the centre of Les Eyzies du Tayac. Just park for free in the car park across the road and walk in. It's not very big. But the waxwork life-size models of Neanderthal man, and "Lucy", are well worth seeing.More

If you have a limited time in this area, skip the Musée National de Préhistoire, and stop here instead to get an overview of the area. It has some nice displays, good information about what to visit, and it is free. Nice restrooms as well!...More

Good museum, and the child's play area kept our kids (5,9,11) entertained for a while. Amazing display of genital symbols and other carved art forms. Worth doing if you're in the village.
