The view from the lighthouse is magnificient, it is worth walking there for the view. There are stairs going down on the rocks but the enormous waves down there could be deadly as sometimes they go over the path. Stay on the belevedere, it is just lovely.

I have always loved light houses and their ability to stand firm against the most ferocious storm. As you climb the 243 steps to the top think about the near 150 years of storms and lives saved by this structure. Then enjoy the view from the top!

The views from just below the lighthouse are amazing but if you are prepared to climb the 248 steps, the views become magnificent on both sides of the point on which it is perched. Entrance to the lighthouse is only available after 2pm (and costs only 2.5 euro), but there is plenty of parking, and a kiosk if you need... More

Good view from the terrace and easy Parking near the Phare. We just stayed a little bit before our walk through the center city.

Great views over Biarritz from the top of the lighthouse (Phare) on the northern side of Biarritz. The price was €2.50 and it is only open in the afternoon, so glad our time there coincided with the opening hours. It is a bit of a walk from the town but there is a cafe nearby and plenty of places to... More

Usually a nice breeze to cool and pleasant shade under the trees with an ice cream from the little cafe (no toilets!). Great views on both directions of the beaches.

It is about a 30-40 minute walk from the main beach by where the casino and the main restaurants are. There are some sculptures there and what I believe is a sundial of sorts. You get great views of the French coastline to the north. There are plentiful benches so you can sit and enjoy the view with an ice... More

The place is worth a visit. No need to go inside but you have a beautiful view over the city , hotels and beaches. There is a nice little cafe. Very restful atmosphere. You can park the car for free.
