This is a pleasant, well-designed museum that has different focus on each floor. There are some good tanks for regional fish, some tropical fish, a floor about fishing and whaling (with relics that will excite those with imagination as well as interest in pirates, boating, hunting, and history), and a rotating exhibit (that featured photos from the fashionable beach 100... Ok. It is not the Monterey Bay Aquarium but it is really well presented with displays of fish from around the world. There is also a very well done area on the history of the Biarritz fishing industry. Multiple floors accessed by stairs or elevator. One interesting point. The display with piranha fish had a sign telling visitors to keep... More

It is a small aquarium with a few fish you would not see anywhere else. Seals are fun to see, though. Watching seals is an attraction in itself. But apart from that, do not expect to see many unusal species.

We went to the aquarium as it was a rainy day. It was OK but not ultra exciting. Not too sure about the seals who looked a bit fat and unhealthy but the shark tank was quite good and some other tanks were quite interesting. Good for a rainy day but if it had been fine I don't think we... More

Wouldn't go without kids. The aquarium is not very big so it is worth it if you take the kids and spend a little time there.

Not too long and an ok price for what it is (cheaper than big city equivalents). Very good variety of sea life from Sharks to Seals. We went on a rainy Saturday.

......do not go at a busy time! We visited on a wet Saturday in August and knew immediately that this was a huge mistake. They allowed far too many people in and it was very uncomfortable and hot and. However, visit at a more sensible time and I'm sure that it will be very enjoyable.

To visit on a day that is not so good. There are many attractive fish tanks and a lot of interesting species. A good break for an hour or so but I have visited better. It is however well kept and worth visiting whilst in Biarritz

A delight to the eyes, you'll see a plethora of fish that will delight your kids. It's not the biggest of aquarium's, but reasonably priced and a nice way to spend an hour or two - especially if it's super hot outside. Or raining. The best bit is the shark section - all sorts to see there.

The location is very nice. But honestly I have seen similar places which were more interesting. You can go if the weather is not nice. Otherwise I would prefer the beach.
