We had only two days in Bordeaux while on a cruise ship. I booked with Henri more than 7 months in advance and he was a wealth of information even before we met with restaurant recommendations, information about possible visits, etc. As we have strong interest interest and background in wine, Henri was happy to take our requests for wineries to... Wow !!! We did 2 days with Henri -- One in Medoc and one in Saint Emilion. It was just extraordinary !!! Henri is beyond knowledgeable about history and geography and of course wine -- he is a sommelier and a vintner himself !!! He selected two perfect and unique restaurants for lunch -- ABSOLUTELY amazing lunches !!!! We loved... More

Having little detailed knowledge but plenty of appetite for wine, we booked a tour! Henri, our driver, guide, sommelier was very informative and knowledgeable. We visited three chateaux and sampled the wines, stopping for a lovely lunch in St Emilion that Henri had organised. This was a thoroughly professional tour and the highlight of our trip to Bordeaux. Highly recommended!

We did a full day tour with Henri of the Pomerol and St. Emilion area of Bordeaux, which included a visit to the medieval village of St. Emilion and the underground monuments tour. From the very first email with Henri to the day that we met, he was incredibly friendly and helpful with all kinds of recommendations that would truly... More

We spent an outstanding day experiencing the right bank of Bordeaux with the very knowledgeable and charming Henri Challeau. His background in the wine industry is stellar and he was able to answer questions and craft a really great day experiencing wines in St. Emilion. Not only did we visit some premier chateaux but we also had an insider's tour... More

We scheduled two full day tours of Bordeaux chateaux with Henri Challeau. One day was the Medoc and the other St Emilion/Pomerol. Henri grew up in the business and is super knowledgable. Each day Henri picked us up and drove us to visits/tastings at three chateaux and we saw a number more famous chateaux that were picturesque. Each day brought... More

Made last minute arrangements for a day in the southern region of Bordeaux, emphasizing white Bordeaux and Sauterne. As we've done many wine areas, we asked to spend more time with wine maker and in the vineyard, as opposed to the wine making process. Our guide, Bruno, told us he tried to make such arrangements. We had the BEST day,... More

We had a magnificent day of wine travel in Graves and Sauternes with Henri. He is a most knowledgeable man with wine and very personable tour guide as well. Thank you very much for a great day.

Words cannot describe the delightful tour we had with Henri in Bordeaux. We spent three days visiting Medoc, Graves, and St. Emilion/Pomerol, and we left with a lifetime worth of memories. Henri is an expert in French wines, but also very humble. He has an amazing background, which shows in his ability to source unusual fun wineries in addition to... More

Henri at Bordeaux Wine Travel gave us one of the most memorable vacations we've ever experienced. We selected the full-day option. Henri picked us up at 10 a.m. in his Mercedes van and took us to four vineyards, all on the "right bank" of Bordeaux near St Emilion. On the way, Henri, himself a sommelier from years of experience in... More
