Interesting to see. You can get access to walk along the top of the barrage which is a very good place for elevated views of the Petite France area.

It's worth making the effort to climb to the top of the barrage ( 28-35 steps) and then walk along the top as you can see a great deal of Petit France from here.

If you are going to check out one thing in Strasbourg, this should be it. Great views, plenty of photo opportunities. The general area of Petite France is beautiful, but the Barage is tops. Highly recommend.

Great historic building at the entrance to Petite France. Well worth a visit and photos. Close to the tram and 15 mins walk from the station.
