The Musee Unterlinden combines art and history in one well laid out and set up location. It is especially good for understanding the history of Colmar and Alsace.

Built in a former nunnery, the Unterlinden museum has many old masterpieces including one must see, the Isenheim Altarpiece which depicts several scenes from the life of Christ. Especially striking is the crucifixion scene.
