Comar's covered market is enclosed by three streets (Rue des Tanneurs, Rue des Vignerons and Rue des Ecoles) and the river Lauch, which allowed farmers to bring their fresh produce to the market in flat-bottomed boats. They did so until the 1950s. The rather small...More

I was visiting this place for a couple of times. However, I realised only this time that I could enjoy sunny weather and delicious food on the small Terrasse near water. I would recommend for breakfast or small coffee break.

We visited the market about 4 times during our 4 night stay in Colmar. Twice we brought breakfast with coffee, and ate outside. We also bought an excellent boxed lunch with generous salad, and items for making lunch and dinner at the apt we had...More

Not a very big market. But because of the diversity in the stalls you can get almost everything foodwise. We bought our dinner here.

It was nice to see farm produced dairy and meat products, but otherwise nothing special. The cafes looked quite nice.

Nat that many stallholders but good diversity. A few nice looking places to buy food to eat on the spot. I will definitly try that the next time

Make sure to walk through the Covered Market when you visit Little Venice to get a sense of France and its culinary traditions. You'll find everything from bakeries to cheese stores and vegetables. A great place to stop by even if you're not buying anything.
