This is certainly worth a wander around and is right in Colmar and next to Little Venice. Selling fruit and vegetables, fresh meats, pasta, wines, cheeses etc. Coach tours (Japanese anyway) seem to visit early in the morning around 08.30. Not open everyday I think...More

Make sure to walk through the Covered Market when you visit Little Venice to get a sense of France and its culinary traditions. You'll find everything from bakeries to cheese stores and vegetables. A great place to stop by even if you're not buying anything.

This was a great find. Nothing that out of the ordinary for France, we suppose, but for Brits on search for originality and craft then this is it.

We were at the markets everyday during our 5 night stay in Colmar, during the Christmas period. Unfortunately some of the shops were closed but what was open was brilliant, so many fresh food to choose from and all at great prices. Cheeses, meats, fruit,...More
