This tourist stop takes all of 2 minutes to get out for a quick picture. Be mindful of traffic when walking towards statue, as it's in the middle of a traffic circle/roundabout. There is a geocache in the area for cachers.

If you are not familiar with the story of Colmar you will be surprised to see the Statue of Liberty when entering the city. And generally that's it. After the first moment of "wow", there is nothing left to enjoy. Fine to pass by, but spending more than 10 minutes there is waste of time:

It is amazing to be in Europe and suddenly look at the statue of liberty. The history behind this building and the hometown of Bartholdi is such a great experience..

Didn't realise that Bartholdi, who designed the Statue of Liberty, was from Colmar until we visited. This statue sits on a roundabout on the approach to the town - quite spectacular!

So unexpected to find a Statue of Liberty in Colmar on a crowded avenue ! You must have a car to see it. The story of this Statue of Liberty is interesting (Bartholdi was a native of Colmar and for the death centennial commemoration, the city decided to put in a copy of the original one)

On our recent stay in Colmar we drove by the Statue for a quick look. This is all you will need since it is in the middle of a roundabout.

Such ashame this is in the middle of a roundabout. Would have myself put this in the town centre. Taking a photograph can prove difficult

Surreal miniature version of Bartholdi's Statue of Liberty. It's in the center of a roundabout about 400 m off the A35. It's a great homage to the artist's hometown.

A great town to drive by for food products and gifts for foodies. Seeing the statue is a bit funny coming from NY

Standing on a culdesac during your way in to Colmar is the smaller the real life statue. It's fun to see it there when it's the last thing you might expect to see.
