This pub features on the cover of Manchester Pubs - City Centre and is in my mind one of the most iconic pubs in Manchester. Attached is the painting done of The Peveril for the front cover of the book.

Standing out with its green-tiled exterior only slightly spoilt with the neon Guinness sign. Inside 3 rooms and a corridor curved around the bar. Lovely place with bar games such as pool in one room and bar football in the main bar. Dark wood topped...More

Really good small, traditional pub with good range of beers (they had a fruit porter on as one of the ales when we were in) and good service/friendly locals. Total architectural gem with amazing tiled exterior and old wooden interior. Great inside or outside seating....More

A one-of-a-kind exterior to the pub and also really liked the way that they had set chairs outside. My pint of Landlord was tasty, the atmosphere was good. It is always a treat to go to historic places like this.

Very unusual to find a friendly no frills pub. Small cosy and very friendly, small beer garden where you can admire the tiled exterior.

A real pub with good ales and a blast from the past - how pubs should be. Would go about for good ale and no a no fuss pub

Despite developments all around this pub is everything a traditional pub should be. My grandparents enjoyed this pub and it really hasn’t changed since their day. Fantastic range of locally brewed beers, three wonderfully cosy rooms, no music and a friendly crowd. Possibly the best...More

Popped in for an afternoon session on a work trip. Really, the only snag with this place is its location - Manchester that is. Otherwise I'd be here all day, every day.

I’m sure they’ll be fine with that. It’s a really relaxed place - but why not phone them first?

They were all very friendly - I was concentrating more on the beer selection than other drinks but I'm sure you'll find something to slake your thirst - as well as a a great welcome
