This is the house of the Pankhursts where the suffragette movement in UK started. It's fascinating and worth a visit to watch the old film and negative publicity at the time. As it's run by volunteers it's opening times are limited.

Even if you go on the right day it can be closed!!!!! We paid to go into car park next door and was very disappointed no sign in door to explain why closed.

Inspiring visit!!!!! The staff were so informative and friendly... been wanting to visit for many years and had the opportunity to go. Such an important place that needs putting in the map more with some extra funding....!!

Part of the house the Pankhurst women moved to after the death of Richard. A interesting place. Very twee as I'm sure Mrs P was, although maybe not the divine compassionate Sylvia. Engaging and knowledgable staff. A great deal of information. Really full of interest....More
