There are are some ok restaurants around the square and of course the town hall is right there and worth seeing, but the square itself is under a lot of construction so you can't see much.

We visited during the Manchester International Festival so we couldn't appreciate its beauty in its entirety. A sure to visit in Manchester. Very close to John Ryland's Library.

Albert square plays host to numerous festival and events throughout the year. The best and number one must vist has to be the German market that runs throughout December. Enjoy muled wine and eat hotdogs while walking between quirky stalls Great fun

This is the big square in front of the Manchester Town Hall. It's often used for special events, but even without that, it's pretty impressive in its own right. Have a look up at the massive clock tower - I dare you not to be...More

Albert Square is a great place to hang out with friends or solo on a sunny afternoon. It is a peaceful place in the middle of busy Manchester. Right now it is under construction so most of it is blocked off as work is underway.
