Manchester’s Chinatown is one of the largest outside of China. It’s home to shopping and restaurants and is the center of the city’s Chinese community.

Feels like it has, as I can remember back over 40 years to an active Chinatown here in Manchester. Even though it was 70 years ago in 1948 that the first Chinese restaurant opened in Manchester, which is the 3rd Largest Chinatown in Europe.

Not with a visit in my opinion, really run down area, full of rubbish and scruffy looking buildings. Very little to do or see.

chinatown consists of a street or two, full of little restaurants and some shops, it has a little garden and also the most iconic bit the Chinese Arch, apart from this there is nothing else to see.

Welcome to Manchester Chinatown! Buckle up for genuine, terrific Asian experience. For a short while find yourself in Beijing suburbs, full of nasty smells, dirt and rotting food. Feel compelled after fast crossing Europe/China border.

It´s only one street and the most beautiful thing is the chinese arch. There, you can find few restaurants and chinese shops. I liked to see that street at night because of the lights decorating that place. You can visit if you are visiting other...More

Well it's just like any other chinatowns, but with less street food and more proper restaurants. Don't think it's a tourist spot or anything but one can still go there for some (not very) cheap Chinese food/Asian cuisines

Chinatown is a nice place to visit. There are many restaurants and a wide choice to choose from. It is in a quiet area not far from Arnadale centre.

In centra Manchester. China town offers lots of Chinese restaurant. Value dinning and buffet. Small compared to the one in london but recommend it to enjoy a nice meal.

The craft shop does have a small selection of traditional Chinese dresses - it's situated directly opposite the pagoda and gardens.

The Christmas Markets will be on in the centre. I recommend them for a walk round. Christmas trinkets, food and drink available. Everyone gets into the spirit.
