I haven't been in this building for years. A fabulous gallery combining the original building with the new build. Plenty of space, friendly helpful staff. The cafe/restaurant overlooks the park- great views.we saw a few (great) exhibitions.

The cafe is very good with an attractive view of the parkland. The gallery has a lot of empty space. It focuses on modern art: the sort that follows on from Duchamp screwing a urinal to a wall and calling it art, thus making the...More

When it rains in Manchester there's no finer destination than this gallery. It's a light filled space with the cheeriest cafe in the North west

It's my first time visiting the gallery since the refurbishment, and what a delight it was! Fantastic exhibits and a lovely light airy space. The cafe bar looked amazing and really busy. It's a place that I will visit again.

The Greenheys car park, just off Denmark Road, barely two blocks from the Whitworth, is lovely. £1/hour, with a parking attendant.
