Terrific guided tour. Beautiful building, soon to close for expansion and renovation. Catch it before it closes! I’ll be back when it re-opens.

The Manchester Jewish Museum is on Cheetham Hill Road just outside the Manchester City Centre. The museum is the old Portuguese Synagogue built in 1874. The museum offers an interesting account of the Jewish history in Manchester and is worth a visit.

Visited today and what a great museum this is. Really enjoyed our visit and left feeling knowledgable about the Jewish community, religion and the history of the Jewish people that settled in Manchester through the centuries! Would highly recommend a visit.

You might want to try Fulda's Hotel in Bury Old Road, Manchester. Good luck in tracing your ancestry and have a good trip.
