It's a square in the middle of Manchester...

Actually, it's more of a rectangle. Squares have all sides the same length. It should really be called St Ann's rectangle to be correct. It's a nice place to sit and watch people..

Home of office lunchers. Also home to the Christmas market stalls from mid November to mid December. Beautiful square with a pretty church at one one and a boulevard dedicated to higher end shops. The actual square used to be the place to shop in Manchester some 20 years ago but the shops are at best describable as mid range.... More

St Ann's Square used to be beautiful. It was full of bustling shoppers and was one of the nicer places to go and sit on your lunch break if you worked in the City Centre. Not any more. Its grubby, a lot of the shops have closed as they cannot afford the high rents and rates. There are masses of... More

What once was the central square in Manchester still has a little style with the theatre and church as the key items

I took my 3 year old niece into town for a wander about.. She was fascinated with the buskers, and we literally followed our ears from one to the other, all around the streets, following no particular route..
