Please do not take your children here. The council and police are a waste of time. I got approached twice whilst with my young daughters offering me drugs, counterfite money and other items. There was various people openly taking drugs in view of the public. This area should be closed down. It is a total eye sore. Please avoid this... More

This is arguably the most disgusting large public space of any UK city. It is quite shocking to experience. There are no 'gardens' to speak of, just a few patches of turf. The area is strewn with litter, including discarded syringes, cans and fast food packaging. The area sadly attracts many drug users and dealers. It is common to see... More

I'm going there only when I HAVE to go. It's just not attractive place at all. It's all dirty, full of homeless/drunk/high people. The name 'gardens' is a bit misleading, as it suggest area with some flowers, trees and plenty of green. Well, there is 'something', but it's totally overcrowded and not well maintained. There's also bus station, which doesn't... More

Lovely green space in the middle of the town. Buy some sandwiches and sit watching life as it goes on around you.

What a dump, rubbish everywhere. Are mancs unable to use litterbins? Full of tramps and smackheads especially at nights. Avoid

Stayed in a hotel near this place, it is pretty run down or possibly in the midst of being done up. Jogged past here in the evening and the smell of weed was over powering. Not a particularly nice place in the dark, has an edge to it.

Has any urban park in Britain suffered a greater fall from grace than Manchester's, once beautiful, Piccadilly Gardens? What was once, by all accounts, a beautifully manicured floral garden, has now become an entirely pedestrianised asphalt jungle. No longer can this area seriously be referred to as "Gardens". Its designers seem to have lacked almost any understanding of an environment... More
