This largely pedestrianised street in the centre of Manchester is well served with high end shops some restaurants and office blocks. Has largely survived the ravages of the Great Recession losing only a few anchor businesses.

We walked along this street and found nothing exceptional. It has a few very expensive shops and also some that are boarded up. Definitely not worth making any extra effort in order to see it.

Once Manchester's answer to Bond Street, the recession has had an impact here, as everywhere else and many of the classy outlets have gone. However, there are still some shops worth visiting and it remains a good place to people watch.

Probably past its best, it used to be a prestigious area for shops and professional firms but many have now moved to Spinningfields.

Hello. I was wondering what time most shops close on King Street? Would love to do some shopping at night when I visit Manchester. Thank you for any responses! :)
