Lovely park. Very child friendly. Only issue we had was all the bins were full to the point rubbish was all over the bin area on the floors.
Cafe could of had more options also as it was a hot day they only had drinks...More
Amazing place to spend time with your family or to do sports. Well maintained lake in the heart of the park brings a lot of people to watch birds or relax on the benches. There are info boards for both - tourists and joggers (kms).
I've been doing tours of parks around Greater Manchester and found this gem right under my nose.
A beautifully maintained park with play ground, bowls, a glorious walk from the entrance and a very nice little cafe overlooking the lake.

A recently restored Victorian park which has been excellently interpreted to include key historic features whilst also improving accessibility to local residents and groups. Well supported by a very active Friends' association.
I live near this park so, I always go there. It is great place for walking or relaxing. My kids love going there as well. It has 2 playgrounds which means it will not be so crowded. The coffee shop there is amazing as well....More
