The gallery at the guild is a co-operative of 28 Cotswold artists, sculptors, ceramicists, photographers, woodturners, metalworkers, glass makers, textile artists and cabinet makers whose exhibitions of work change every six weeks. The gallery is stewarded by its members and volunteers and is open daily.

The gallery is on the ground floor of The Old Silk Mill in Chipping Campden which was once the home of C R Ashbee's Guild of Handicraft. Todays it is still home to Hart's Gold and Silversmiths as well as Caroline Richardson Jewellery and Campden Coffee Company.

Well worth a visit. Regularly changing exhibition of local artists, pottery, sculptors and cabinet makers. Cafe opposite and certainly climbing the windy stairs to the silversmith shop run by Caroline Richardson and the Hart Silversmith workshop - a step back in time.

We visited in March and there was a collective exhibition of various artists work with some of the artists in attendance. Good quality and reasonable prices although we did not make a purchase on this visit it was the kind of work we appreciate.

Thank you for your kind review. The gallery at the guild on the ground floor is a co-operative of 28 Cotswolds based artists, sculptors, cabinet makers, designers and craftspeople who take it in turn to steward the gallery. As a co-operative, we are able to offer our work for sale at reasonable prices as the sales are not through a... More

One of those craft ghettos that are always so disappointing. It would have been nice to have seen the silversmiths but they weren't around on the Saturday afternoon we visited.

We were sorry to read that you were disappointed in your visit. Our members include artists who have exhibited at The Royal Academy in London, a Master Woodturner who lectures widely and has worked with David Mellor in London and a number of award winners across a range of arts and crafts. The look and feel of the gallery changes... More

Although there are no "no dogs allowed" signs we weren't allowed in with our Jack Russell so promptly left. Please put a sign up!

Do please let us know where your dogs were not allowed - dogs are certainly allowed in Campden Coffee Company on the ground floor. The gallery at the guild sometimes has to exclude our canine friends depending on the layout of the exhibition as it has had bad experiences with wagging tales. That said, it does allow dogs to be... We met some of the silversmiths on the top floor who were chatty and very interesting . One was making a silver jug and explained how he was making it. It was beautiful and would take him 2 weeks to make. He also discussed the drawings made of a chalice which we then saw in the Barn museum which was... More

A gallery where a number of artists display their work for sale. The work was not to my taste but I am sure will appeal to others. Off the High Street in Sheep Street was a little hard to find but keep looking if you are interested.

This historic building is a must see when visiting Chipping Campden particularly the Silversmith where descendants of the original smiths still work. Pop in to take a look at the smiths in action, view the latest displays in the art gallery and then enjoy a great coffee on the ground floor.

Some lively items to look at. But very pricy, great location Great place to visit in the area and if you can you will need to take your credit card. Coffee shop looks lovely.
