I walked the Cotswold Way we walked from Chipping Campde to Broadway and ate our picnic lunch beside the Market Hall (built in 1617 in Chipping Campden. It is a beautiful old town built of biscuit coloured stone. We had a steep climb out of Chipping Campden up to the top of the escarpment with spectacular views to our right.... More

We walked the Cotswold Way, after having completed the Hadrians Wall walk and the Cornwall Coastal Path before. We walked from Chipping Campden to Bath for ten days. Aged 69 and 67 the distance was no problem for us. Sometimes the track can be challenging because of the muddy soil and/or the steep climbs. Whe had reservations for hotels and... More

We took the train to Oxford and John Sampson of Absolute Tours picked us up and drove us through the Cotswolds for the day. Since John was from the area, he knew it well and was able to share his knowledge and love of towns he grew up in. This was the highlight of our long journey in and around... More

I took the train to Oxford and was met by my drive/guide for the day. I booked online and was told someone would pick me up at the station holding my name and just as promised he was waiting. Only one other person was booked into a 7 person van. We drove into the Cotswolds through back roads I would... More

This was a wonderful experience, probably the best vacation we've ever had. We walked from village to village in the Cotswolds for four days, including two when it rained on and off. It was absolutely great. You can get detailed hiking directions and even guided and unguided tours complete with hotel reservations and baggage transfer from Headwaters in the UK... More

I visited the Cotswolds in August, 2009. Although a little out of the way, I absolutely recommend the Abbey House Gardens www.abbeyhousegardens.co.uk also loved Rosemary Verey's Barnsely House Garden www.barnsleyhouse.com/flash.html ( you don't have to stay there to see the gardens). You will not be disappointed!

We live in this lovelya rea of UK. Every other day we go to somewhere different. Touring by car is the best way to see the cotswolds. The gateway of the start, is where we used to live in Cirencester. In any tourist information bureau there is a wealth of info, and places to stay. Myself I adore the newly... More
