See the network of underground canal routes that helped form the industrial Black Country and marvel at the fantastic Limestone Caverns. Enjoy a canalside walk or relaxing boat trip, and admire the local history. See if you can spot any of the limestone fossils remaining from when the area was below sea, and explore the Dudley Tunnel - don't be startled by the bats!

Having taken a trip through the tunnels in 1984 I still remembered the moment when the guide shut the engines and 2 of my friends attempted to "leg" the boat along the tunnel. Jumping onto the boat I mentioned to our guide that I was...More

A facinating 45 minute trip on a narrow boat through some of the canal system tunnels beneath the Black Country. The guide, also piloting the boat, was both knowledgeable & amusing. May be a little scary for some young ones as some of the tour...More

Really interesting and fun. The museum before you go in is great for getting a feel of how it was back then. Didn't last very long but still well worth it

Great 45 minute trip in the tunnels, packed full of information, things to see and a few gags from the driver (skipper?)

It's a great day out . Something different to do. The Black Country museum next door is also doable in the same day. Step back in time to the good old days when men were men and women were also men!
