Lots of information on display boards, outweighing the actual exhibits. Worth a look if you're nearby, but if you've only time for one museum, head for the Maritime Museum

Nice little museum and knowing history of the city and stuffs. Nice staffs and shop, also. It near Castle, too.

A really interesting visit awaits you right in the centre of Lancaster. The museum is also the museum of the King's Own Royal regiment and there are some excellent displays and information on where the regiment has fought, including artefacts from both world wars such...More

They link magic via Harry Potter, to real witch trials. Entrance was free but the exhibits were high standard and we found them interesting. Good place to while away an hour of two.

Eventually found the way in through the workings going on , and glad we did . Well laid out sections with plenty to see.

Really nice museum that gives a great overview of the whole city! I certainly learned a lot about Lancaster that I didn’t know! Easy to walk through, staff is friendly.
