Something I wanted to do for a very long time, then one day ended up doing it unprepared. Must admit, it's one great route and comes in as one of my proudest achievements (I did the full Guild Wheel + a few more miles during a fast of no water or food on a scorching hot day!) Would recommend to... More

Had heard that the guild wheel was a nice cycle around the Preston area so have it a try, nice road and not too many tricky hills, all in all a pleasant afternoon out

Good for a blast on your own and equally rewarding as a family ride. A great concept and nice to get away from the traffic.

Great circuit of Preston for both Cyclists and Walkers. Well signposted and easy to navigate around. Only bit that is a bit tricky is down through Red Scar Woods to Brockholes Nature Reserve. Plenty of pubs and cafes to make a stop at en route if your in need of liquid refreshment or something a bit more substantial. I would... More

When this opened, 12 years late (millennium wheel originally I believe) it was great, mostly easy apart from a few steep bits. Now though, its a real mess In places, most notably on the downhill into Brockholes, which is a steep slippery uneven stony mess. Even walking down or up is dangerous, if this was a town centre path it... More

The Guild Wheel is a 25 mile circular cycleway around Preston, Lancashire. You don't have to do it all at once of course and you can dip in and out at various locations. We have always completed it in full taking a leisurely pace on a sunny day. A late start, stopping off for a meal and an early afternoon... More

Been round the Guild Wheel many times, always enjoyable, just be carefull of dogs not on leads in places. Always ride it clockwise so i dont have to climb the big hill at brockholes
