What a lovely place to your your four legged friend out for a lovely walk/run. Very scenic. But must say later in the evening the midgies are out in force.

We love going around the Jumbles with our dogs and find it a very clean, friendly walk. The cafe is a nice addition and allows the ability to rest after a good walk!

Brought friends who had not visited before and they were very happy with the walk. Two and a half miles is a perfect distance for me nowerdays!! And on the flat (in the main). Just the job.

Living close by is a real bonus. Lovely evening or weekend walk. Not idea with a wheelchair. Easier with a pram although there is still a steep up and down hill to tackle.

I agree, not really the place for a BBQ. A picnic would be ok but we use the little cafe near the car park.

I believe a skeleton bus service passes the top of the jumbles. You could ring Bury / Bolton bus station for details of buses Good luck
