If the weather is good then it's a very good place for a short walk. Up and down to the top will take around 1 and half hours. There is a tea room with a nice view at the middle of the walk. Recommended walk.

This hill dominates the local area. Tree covered with tracks for the more keen people to walk to the top.

There are 2 main routes to climb the Wrekin, one from the South, one North. The parking areas are obvious. From both sides the climb is short and sharp so a reasonable level of fitness is required. The view SW along the old Stretton Fault...More

Lovely place to take kids and dogs, gives the muscles a good work out, takes a good hour to walk up at a steady pace, views are well worth it, tea shop and ice creams quarter way up, nice place for a picnic

The views are spectacular from the top of the wrekin...we walked up the main walk passed the half way house (which does a great mug of coffee for £1)..there are toilets there but not working the day we visited...steep short climbs up to the top...More

There are good paths but I would still wear decent shoes, particularly if there has been wet weather etc

Hi sorry we only went up the Wrekin once but the guy at the halfway house was super helpful..maybe you could try there first before taking mum up?..good luck! And I hope you get her up there 😀

There shouldn't be - it's mostly woodland. Depending on your access route, some of the footpaths cross fields where there's a slight chance of livestock, but it's mostly arable farming around the foot, and if you're just... More
