Awful. Being a tribute act usually means looking and sounding like the original act. The Rocket Man certainly has a striking physical resemblance to Sir Elton but he sounded more like Vic Reeves doing his club singer act... It’s a great venue and we’ve been...More

Always love going to the Wyvern. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The tribute acts they have always amazes me. I go about 5 times a year. Something for everyone.

Visited the Wyvern Theatre with my husband, on the same evening that England were playing in the semi-final of the World Cup, to see Griff Rhys Jones. The venue was only half full, but Griff produced a wonderful show. A very pleasant atmosphere. Griff made...More

Thanks for the 5 star review. Griff was up against tough competition with the football that night but on the whole I think it's fair to say he had the more successful night! Darren Chivers Customer Service Manager

We like the Wyvern as it's quite small and you get a good view from any seat. Most shows are either tribute bands or comedians so would be good to have some different shows but still worth visiting.More

Thanks for the 5 star review. Are you on our mailing list? If you are hopefully you will have seen the extremely diverse season we have coming up which is far from just comedians and tribute acts. For example.... For opera lovers we have...Bizet's Carmen...More

The Wyvern Theatre seems to attract a few of the lesser known comedians and a lot of tribute acts some of which are very good, but tribute acts nonetheless. As a venue it is too small to attract bigger acts, pop artists or touring "west...More

Thanks for taking the time to leave us this review. We do have a wide ranging and diverse programme of events and whereas tribute acts may not be to everyone's liking they are certainly very popular and sell extremely well, in may cases they sellout....More

Cannot fault the show, absolutely brilliant. A night at the theatre should be a pleasant experience, but this has no soul. Very bland decor and their idea of a box is sitting on dining chairs in a cramped space at the very back of the...More

Thanks for this somewhat disappointing and out of the ordinary review. Our 2 boxes are situated at the rear of the theatre as indicated on our seating plan, this should not come as a surprise if you have specifically booked this area, although both boxes...More

We haven’t been to this theatre for a long time but a play came along that we wanted to see so off we went. The closest car park was full but there are a couple more in close vicinity which weren’t. Bar prices are average...More

Fantastic play I recommend see this if you get the chance....however ‘The Wyvern Theatre’ 😳 don’t be fooled into buying the premium priced box tickets as you will be paying almost double only to find yourself seated in frankly dilapidated old dining chairs with a...More

Thank you for providing this feedback. I will certainly check the condition of the seats. The view however is generally considered to be a very clear one from the boxes, but we appreciate different people have different expectations. I will certainly look into the points...More

Regular visitor for the pantomime and for the touring comedians. Jethro always brings the house down. Some great passing tribute acts on each month. All seats offer a good view and food from the cafe is of good standard too.
