We had to obtain the key to this church from the museum across the road. Once inside, we found a fairly bare interior but the enormous circular piers provide ample evidence of its Norman origins. The monument to Alderman Walton and his wife is lovely...More

Although no longer an active church, St Nicholas is opene regularly and staffed by enthusiastic and well-informed volunteers. We were lucky enough to be offered a tour from which we learned far more about the statuary than we would if left to our own devices....More

went to look around it was lovely, its a hidden gem. My 8 year old son thought it was very peaceful and interesting. Will go again.

Mainly used by artists to display new collections, nice peaceful spot . Opposite the Gloucester folk museum.
