I think the building it’s self is the gem here - sadly the exhibits are a little sparse, but I totally understand when local authorities have been cutting museum budgets for years under the guise of ‘ austerity ‘ . Local museums are so important...More

I took my step daughter here who is 9 and she really enjoyed this, we did brass rubbings and she asked loads of questions, good for slightly older children and also when there are events on!

This is an interesting museum in a lovely old building. There are creaky floorboards and several flights of stairs. We were lucky that on the day we visited it was free admission!

This museum is a good way to kill a few hours. The staff/volunteers were all very friendly and helpful.

This charming old Tudor building that was once a Pin Factory, has been lovingly restored and is the perfect home for Gloucester Life Museum. It's much the same inside, be prepared to climb lots of wooden stairs leading to the three floors. Nice display settings...More

Real shame that musuem is not as expected and thought it would be crammed pact with local interests and artifacts from the past. Sadly this was not the case and not much to see in a very interesting old building. A real lost opportunity and...More

The museum building is old and worth a visit just for this. However, the museum is quite nice and makes the most of the displays they have.

Hi beverage2015, the museum has been shut for renovations since before Christmas. I'm not sure where you read it was open as it no longer has its own website.
