My partner bought a voucher for the photography day as a Christmas present for me. Knowing very little about the centre, I went along with an open mind and my partner as guest for moral support (and to carry my photography gear!). I was a bit nervous wondering if I would be totally out of my depth as a keen... More

We were bought an owl experience voucher as a gift. We weren't sure what to expect and informed on booking that they are not like falconry centres. We have two children, our youngest has special needs and this was also a concern for the visit. Our visit was fantastic from the moment we got there. Both our boys were loved... More

Being a keen amateur wild-life photographer and nature conservationisist I booked a place on one of the Centre’s Photograhy Days. Vince & Carl looked after us really well, emphasising both the plight of wild raptors & the much less publicised problems faced by unwanted captive-bred raptors in the UK. The Centre is a Charity , providng education to the public,... More

This is probably the only place in the UK I would visit to see captive birds. They work tirelessly day in day out to support the birds they look after. I booked a day with Vince and his team in early July and although the weather was difficult and the birds did not quite cooperate they still tried hard to... More

We did an Owl photography day in June. Vince was very knowledgable about the birds and we had opportunities to photograph a buzzard, two Eagie Owls, a Barn Owl and a Little Owl. The pace of the day was just right and we did not feel rushed. A lot of thought has gone into setting up shots and the birds... More

Took my grandson for a hands on flying a bird of prey and he loved it. The staff were very well educated as to the various habits of the respective birds, which ranged from Harris Hawks to Kestrels and all manner of other exotic birds. Highlight came when my grandson was allowed to have some of the birds flown to... More

I was initially a reluctant visitor to the Barn Owl centre, however I was surprised and found it an interesting day. The indoor display was particularly interesting

An amazing experience to work with birds of prey. The owner is a friendly chap, with lots of experience and knowledge about these birds. There are various owls, hawks, and buzzards. We were given protective gloves to wear and worked two harrier hawks, which flew around and landed on our wrists for a few founds. The we went inside to... More

I booked an owl handling experience for my other half as she loves owls but it turned into a great day for both of us, the staff here are really friendly and do it out of a passion for looking after animals instead of just working for a wage in a commercial zoo. They explained the backstory for each owl... More
