We were in Gloucester for the day and decided to pop in. I'm so glad we did. It is beautiful. Inside and out. There was a lovely little garden where people were reading and eating. Such a shame it was a flying visit for us....More

There was a service in progress when we visited so we just went for lunch at the café. Freshly-made sandwich - very nice. Will come again.

Will have a lovely forecourt when building work complete. Lovely stained glass and fabulous Tom Denny windows. Cloisters too are astonishing and surround a lovely courtyard. Well worth a look.

Entry by donation and it's worth paying to take photos too. Really lovely courtyard garden to sit in, weather permitting.

There is never a dull moment when visiting a Cathedral. This is an ex ample one in the highest order. Lovely new artistic alter and choir stalls in the nave. Cloisters with a difference. Landscaping outside ongoing when finished will be truly remarkable

Gloucester Cathedral is a gem. From the cloisters of Harry Potter to the whispering gallery. Several tours are offered, including the Crypt. Spend a day here. You will not be disappointed.

We live 5 minutes away from the cathedral so visit it quite regularly - the cathedral asks for a small donation to keep it running smoothly and it is well worth it. Lovely stained glass & tombstones.
