Now just called The Tap. Really nice atmosphere when we walked in. Candles and subtle lighting. Handy for the dog friendly Travel Lodge across the road. Lots of board games. Limited food but cleverly done. Excellent choice of reasonably priced, good beers.

Popped in her whilst staying in the Travelodge opposite. Pub has a good selection of beers and gins! Really enjoyed the quirky games room at the back. They offer good snack/bar food including a very tasty 10" pizza for £6

When I read previous reviews about the miserable landlord, it certainly took me back to my first visit here when it was a truly awful pub. It is important to note however, that this pub has had an extensive revamp and is now called the...More

The beer is great but unfortunately the staff keep giving short measures - fill up to the right measure.

This pub is opposite the Travel Lodge on Tower Street. An outside seating area, and a dated interior. The real ales were well kept. The barman friendly.
