Absolutely loved it. To visit the oldest working lighthouse in the World is amazing and well worth a visit. While there's not a lot to do at the lighthouse, there is a small museum and a guided tour of the lighthouse itself. There's plenty of...More
We started at Ducannon Fort & went to the Hook lighthouse via Dollar Bay & Loftus Hall. After visiting the lighthouse we continued on to Tinterin Abbey. Good tour, we enjoyed it very much. Great tea rooms at Tintern.
Lovely drive with mix of sea view and country scenery. Do be careful at the sharp bends as there are a number. Good views found at Dollar Bay and at Hook's Lighthouse with treacherous looking rocks and blow holes.
The area is full of history. Old Churches fallen down, still maintained by the local Council.
The Worlds oldest working Lighthouse with tours available for 9.50 euros
Views to die for ( Not literally )
A lovely day exploring

We actually drove over from Waterford, but we had absolutely no problems with finding our way on Ring of Hook. There were plenty of good signs - especially where there were choices at an intersection. We did use a brochure map that we picked up at the TI in Waterford that was also quite helpful - on the Ring of Hook. We don't have GPS and got along just fine.
