Just opened for their 2017 season, the gardens are worth the diversion to discover this beautiful little corner of the Midlands. Wander about at your leisure to explore the walled garden and the lakes; benches abound to allow the option of enjoying the different vistas with your feet up. Having contacted the gardens in advance regarding mobility issues with one... More

The building itself is quite impressive. The gardens are pretty and surrounding area is worth a walk around. It has no massive signposts and even the entrance could be overlooked, but worth finding.

I love these old buildings and gardens. This place is great only I feel it's expensive for what you get. The walk is lovely with something for everyone and the cafe is fab but I would love a look inside the castle, although I'm sure the owners want their privacy! You can pay extra to see the kitchen and laundry,... More

The place is lovely. We just visited the gardens, not the manor. But it was really worth the trip. Just one serious advice: wear hiking boots!

A little bit of unspoilt beauty near Castlepollard that will hopefully stay the same for ever. I am being selfish of course as it doesn't register too much on the local tourist trails that I have seen. Yet it has such beauty, peace and tranquility that makes it five star. Worth a visit, nice walks down to lake and back.... More

The whole family (granny, granddad, mammy, daddy, sisters, cousins) went for a Sunday walk. Tickets are sold in the tea room (which I wish was not the case as the tea room was very busy and only one cashier--which takes time for both those wanting to eat and those wanting to purchase tickets for the house and garden). The walk... More

Tullynally recently hosted the sheep shearing championships which we attended. The castle grounds are huge and appropriate to hold the event. The castle is still the home of the owners and as such much of it is off limits. The courtyard contains a tea shop located in the barn. Our ticket afforded us entry to the gardens which were beautifully... More
