My husband and I visited Sligo abbey yesterday. It was very interesting but could be improved upon. There was no guided tour so we had our own plan to follow. This was fine to begin with but then became confusing as to which room was...More

Near the centre of town, and a wonderful ruin to explore. Walking tour guide is supplied when you pay entry fee. Fascinating old passageways and cloisters provide an idea of what the place was once like.

Had some spare time to walk around the area and the Abbey was nice for the short time I spent there.

Beautiful old Abbey in the heart of the city. Good price and well laid out and the information was informative and easy to follow for a self-guided tour.

We were slightly disappointed in this one but I guess we had seen some really great Abbeys while in Ireland in the past 2 weeks.

We came in the evening, and the visitor center and gates were closed, but in the end that was probably positive, since it was a quiet ruin in midst of sort of busy city. It provided a nice place to stop and refresh or think,...More
