I bet my husband that we would be in and out in 15 minutes. I was so wrong! This is a great little museum with loads of local artefacts and a very interesting exhibition on the history of policing in Ulster. Well worth a visit

This is a suprise! I wouldn't have imagined seeing such detailed museum in the town with historical items from all of Ireland's ages.

Such a range of artefacts in this museum. The system is easy to follow and clearly signposted. Takes about 40 minutes to cover the range. Don't miss the beautiful Cross of Clogher. The museum is free.

Small museum but good range of things on display and interesting temporary display. My 8 year old found it interesting and staff friendly.

Loved looking through the archives. My family was from Monaghan and I learned that the Hughes name could be Hugh. Loved the history

I found myself with two hours to kill in Monaghan town and spent most of it quite pleasantly in this well-kept and interesting small museum. There was the obligatory 1916 Rising exhibition which was well-executed and informative but for me the surprising highlight was local...More
