A fantastic & wide variety of Irish craft on offer. Small studio offerings as well as a good selection of items from across Ireland. Well worth visiting.

The craft center is located in the stable and carriage house for the Kilkenny Castle. It is a lovely venue but is not up and running completely. Many shops are not open. Prices are also higher than in other shops in town

The artisan goods are displayed in a beautiful way, the shop people were knowledgable and helpful. The actual facility is a wonderful, clean, bright facility. Would recommend anyone to visit!

We enjoyed the interesting and well curated works on display while we were there. A full exploration added a great deal (we met a talented and very nice potter in one of the yards).

Pretty buildings right across the street from Kilkenny Castle. Nice but typical items for sale. Not what I expected but not terrible either.

A variety of workshops and exhibitions in very interesting buildings. All rather costly but of a very high standard including a tea/coffee shop.

Directly across from the Kilkenny Castle in the former stable area of the Butler Family, is the Craft Center. Walk through the entire area - one end to the other and admire the artisan skill. There is a tour map available to take one to various local villages where the crafts are produced - the Center is much more convenient... More

As far as attractions go, I spose it is the poor cousinn to the castle. Its signicance is it was the stables for the castle. Now the craft gallery which is worth a look. nice to just potter about looking at the crafts.

Lots of variety although a touch pricey. Still if you have limited time, this will give you access to all of the things you think you need to take home.
