Historic Church

Absolutely loved a little walk around St. John's..wasn't expecting the electronic doors - never seen them in a church before. Church is steeped in history. Lovely place to visit

This is a lovely old church in the heart of Tralee that has, I imagine, gone through many renovations and updates over the years. The oafish priest is lovely and friendly, a trait reflected also in his colleagues. A welcoming location, 'gan dabht'.

The steeple can be seen for miles, so you can't miss finding it. Also located in the city center, it was a lovely walk to see it. The architecture is amazing. Spectacular. I can't get my photos to load, or I would have some pics to share. Sorry! But if you go to Tralee, it is a most worthwhile stop... More

This church is a hidden gem it is right in the centre of town and easily missed only we were stopped at traffic lights so went around the block and into the car park at the side of it and it is like a giant feature. It is so worth a walk around and so tranquil and beautiful

A lovely building outside, when entering it's quite breathtaking. You're greeted by two life-size angel fonts on either side of the aisle. The stunning Great Sanctuary Window depicts Christ the King, St. John the Baptist and the Twelve Apostles. There are more beautiful stained glass windows and very unusual oil painted of the Stations of the Cross. There is much... More

Nicely updated and clean. Easy access from anywhere down town. Not really a tourist destination but good for those who want to attend church.

In the middle of Tralee is a very nice Catholic church. If you are a mass goer there are a couple of morning masses. The altar is modern but there are plenty of history in the church.

This was a must stop for us as it was the parish of my great great grandparents. Though it has undergone rebuilding since they left in 1849 I could feel them there. We were thrilled by the voice of a beautiful young Irish woman during the celebration of Mass.
