The traditional application of falconry has been to take a Bird of Prey, train it and then attempt to catch wild quarry with it. Although our guided walks with hawks experience, is not a hunting expedition, it is a leisurely stroll through the majestic settings of Killarney with falconer and hawk/or team of hawks and shows the ability of trained birds and their relationship with their human partners. The participants will have hands on experience with the hawks, you will be able to handle and fly the hawk yourselves under instruction from killarney falconry's falconers. We finish up with an owl encounter where you can handle & hold an owl. Private Hawk Walk Duration 1hr approx One Participant 70euro Two Participants 100euro Three Participants 130euro Family Package (2adults/2kidsU14)120euro Extra Participants/Spectators €30each, Times between 10am to 3.30pm Daily Weather permitting activity. Pre-booking avoids disappointment Locations for Hawk Walks may change due to conditions but normally 5/10mins drive from Killarney town centre Kind Regards Killarney Falconry Geoffrey 0872401551 / 00353872401551

Due to the wind, we only got to see the owls, but it was such a lovely and unique experience. Our guide Jeff/Geoff was so knowledgeable and accommodating: friendly, extremely understanding with the timing, and full of funny anecdotes about the animals and their personalities....More

I have done many encounters with wildlife as has my wife who is a Veterinarian. This certainly takes the top for non work related animal experiences. One of the biggest things with this experience is privacy. No crowds and children running around. Just your group...More

Geoff took us on a short hike with a falcon. He would launch the bird into the air and it would roost in a tree for a few moments before it landed on my wrist and nibbled a bit of chicken. He talked about birds...More

While I was attending a business conference in Killarney, my family had a great time in the woods with these amazing birds. Sorry I missed it but the pictures and videos were amazing. Reservations a must.

Amazing! Felt very close to nature. Just my cousin, Geoffrey, Michaelo, in the countryside learning so much about birds of prey. Then at the end, to meet my new friend Helen.

There isn't an address, they give you gps coordinates to meet them by a path. It's about 10 min from Killarney by car.

The price varies, depending on the number of people in your party. There were 2 of us, and we paid $100 US (needs to be paid in Euros, cash only) total, including tip.
