We drove into town through the national park at sunset. It was breathtaking to see the sunset over the water and the mountains.

I walked from Muckross House to Torc Waterfall and back, and then from Ross Castle into Killarney (I came out by St Mary's Cathedral). So, there's no "official" entrance Luke national parks in the US, you just start at your chosen place! Beautiful views if the mountains and lakes, amazing walks in the woods, including along a river. It's no... More

This is jewel of a National Park with many fine walks and numerous vistas worthy of a visit. The lakes are charming and the historic houses, abbeys, and castles well worth your time.

I'm a nature lover and Killarney National Park was one of the best parks i visit, the views are amazing mainly in wildest part of the reserve. Definitely the best day i had in Ireland!!

A wonderful park in the center of town! This is truly a local treasure. While it is not a particular "destination", it certainly allows for quiet and solitude often needed when traveling with a group!

Gorgeous national park that can, and should, be enjoyed in lots of ways - walking, hiking, boating trips, driving through. You can easily plan on spending more than one day here.

Visited in November and was stunned by the beauty of this park. We looked at pictures before going and took some great pics ourselves but honestly they don't do this place justice at all.

Killarney Park is a real oasis of calm - you can walk within it for miles and the only traffic is the odd tractor at work or jaunting cars. We walked through the park as far as Killarney Golf and Fishing Club and stopped for a very pleasant lunch at the club house - great view from here of the... More

One should try to circle the park by car but also spare some time to contemplate the different view it offers, especially the one from the Lady's View. It is a great program for family with kids and nature lovers, as you may get in touch with local fauna.

Beautiful landscapes, a must see place. Plenty of stopping places and the view are fantastic. Easy drive along winding roads.
