Beautiful waterfall in idyllic park setting

I walked to Torc waterfall from Muckross house along a beautiful path beside the lake that was 2 km each way. It was a scenic walk and the waterfall was in a beautiful setting.

This was at the end of a day tour I was on and it was a nice little hike to stretch the legs a bit with a beautiful waterfall at the end.

Really pretty waterfall. Very peaceful walk up to the waterfall and beyond it. Would recommend pulling in to see this. If you're not interested in a big hike, there is a short walk from the car park to this so people of all interests can see it.

The walk up to the falls is over fairly uneven ground so good footwear is recommended. The waterfalls were quite pretty and set in woodland which kept the sun off. Walking on past the falls to the top got fairly steep so be prepared, however the views across the lough to the mountains were worth the walk.

If you go to Killarney National Park, you really should go to the waterfall! It is accessible for anyone who can walk a short distance and it is very worth the effort. There is a stone platform to assemble on to take photos and a staircase to climb high for premium viewing . Very beautiful spot!

This is a fabulous please not too far off the beaten track and is definitely worth a visit, would advise runners at least as rocky terrain.

strolled to the top of the waterfall listening to birds singing and water cascading down and greeting happy people who also enjoyed their visit. enjoyed a picnic in the shaded sunshine and spent about 2 hours watching the world go by.

This is a lovely waterfall that simply compliments the beautiful charm of Killarney. I was surprised how large the waterfall is compared to the photos. However, if you have difficulty walking or climbing many stairs, I do not recommend.

While the carpark at the trail head looks closer to the waterfall, there isn't one clearly marked trail to it. Best to park just off N71 at the main carpark, then walk up the wide trail alongside the river. The trees are amazing, covered in moss and stretching out over the trail, and the waterfall, while not unique, is a... More

If you park at the waterfall you will see a sign for three hiking loops. We chose the longest, which took about 90 minutes and includes some serious elevation gain on a well-worn path with nice stepping stones for the steep sections. The payoff is not only a good workout (depending on your pace and fitness level), but beautiful views... More
