This is a great place to visit while your staying or passing through Killarney. Get out & stretch your muscles. Kids & adults seem to love it - its a difficult enough climb but it is do.able & the views & sense of achievement make it worth it - in my opinion.

There are so many different tracks that you could spend days getting lost in the scenery. The walks are well maintained and the work that is going on is done to a very high standard.

We did the walk to the top of Torc from the waterfall parking lot. It was around 8kms round trip according to my GPS watch. The signage to find the trail is poor so talk with people walking the opposite way to make sure you are heading in the correct direction. Once you get to the top of the waterfalls,... More

Difficult enough but achievable. More difficult coming down. Good walking shoes required. Warm clothes plus hat as it's very windy at the top. Takes 2 -3 hours depending on your fitness levels. More suitable to do from May to September as the weather would be better. Lots of other activities to do around Torc Mountain for example you get to... More

The first part is definitely steep as you ascend from the Krnmare road, but keep going, as the view is well worth it. Anyway, the path is too narrow and steep for a descent. Keep going in the prescribed anti-clockwise direction. Be sure to wear suitable walking or hiking foot ware and take care in wet weather.

Our GPS Tom Tom sent us up a winding road that would allow us to walk downhill and then back uphill from the Torc Waterfall. It was a challenging walk and you need good shoes....not sneakers. Beautiful sites and a great walk

This was my favorite thing that we did in Ireland and we didn't even make it all the way to the top (due to lack of time). It was a challenging hike, but the views along the way were beyond breathtaking. We do wish the trail had been labeled. It is different than the yellow, blue and red trails, and... More

Beautiful scenery, well worth the effort to climb. A great mix of forest and meadow punctuated by rocky outcrops

After seeing the lovely Torc Falls you will have the start of a long and somewhat challenging hike on a well worn wide pathway up to the most stunning views you may see in all of Ireland. The paths wind around up top and then down and make for a healthy thou challenging walk/hike. There are several places to sit... More

Torc waterfall never fails to impress. The sheer volume of water coursing down takes my breath away.
