Went here after a recommendation to stop off here on the way to Muckross House, really nice site and so interesting, the tree growing inside in the courtyard is so beautiful!

We explored the abbey both at night and in the day light. What a fantastic place. Great first day in Ireland. Climb around, get lost in it.

Guided tour was interesting. Had real access to the house unlike some tours where everything is cordoned off. Enjoyable experience and worth doing for all ages

If you like to explore hidden rooms and investigate where dark staircases lead, this place is for you. Wonderfully mysterious ruins, 3 floors to explore, and a beautiful cemetery to put one in a pensive and reflective mood. This place would be great to bring...More

We didn't do the tour, but enjoyed a brief stop for the views and a nice little walk. Trails for families and would have spent more time here if we could have!

It is a ruin, that has been stabilized and even roofed in areas. One feels like an archeologist (ala Indiana Jones) when wandering these grounds. The Ewe tree in the center is beautiful. If in Killarney you do yourself a disservice not stopping to look...More

you can walk there from town (about 10 km) or take a cab. Killarney is full of em and they are reasonably priced and helpful. You can also rent bikes or hire a Jarvey (a two wheeled horse-drawn cart) they are also... More
